Update: all sorted now, lens replaced insurance paid out minus £150 excess :)

IMO I'm still working on it, when you google it there great examples of this technique I need to practice it a bit more and try various compositions

Thanks for all the feed back folks, I used a 135L at f2... I've got a 85 1.4 I'll try it with that next time, Ive also tried it with a 35 1.4 in the past but got lots of distortion and vignetting visible
