    Scotland Isle of Arran

Goatfell is nice and the view from the top is supposed to be very good. I didn't climb it when I was there a few years ago. Its a Corbett so between 2,500-3,000 feet to the summit. The bay area at Lochranza and the ruined castle there is also a favourite view of mine. The distillery is quite...

    Sensor Cleaning

I have being meaning to do this for a while as there were marks visible on my sensor. I have a Micro four thirds sensor. After looking at the price of some of these cleaning swabs and doubting the quality of the cheaper ones on amazon/ebay, I decided to try my own method based on some methods I...

    Confused pc buyer

Yes it was really a reply to the comment about whether you would get a windows 10 disc with it.

    Confused pc buyer

I have an earlier model of the same machine (Intel Core i5 2.7GHz, 8GB RAM, Same graphics card) I bought mine at PC World and didn't get a Win 10 disk with it. It tells you to make a recovery disc, in my case this required three blank DVDs. I've had mine 18 months now without any problem.

    Belle Firenze

Yes it is a lot sharper now. The bright sun above the buildings is a bit distracting, I think maybe it would have been better shot at a different time of the day, it is a nice location though.

I like the first image a lot. The second one looks a bit blurry on here.

    Laptops...

The biggest difference to speed on a computer that I have noticed is since I installed my SSD (Solid State Drive). My computer now boots up in under 20 seconds and programs load faster as well. PS Elements loads in a third or maybe quarter of the time it did when I was using my old HDD. I...

    Hooded Crow

I saw some Hooded Crows in Berlin when I was there in August. I've never seen them in the UK though.

    Beginner Pictures from Scotland

I like the last shot of the trees. Its the pick for me. The light is not helping the first one, it looks like you are shooting into the sun, it would be better with the sun behind you.

    British Cycling. Clean or Not?

It looks very much like there is so much of it going on that no one really wants to touch it with a barge pole.

    British Cycling. Clean or Not?

A quick google search reveals that around 9% of the UK population has asthma. Yet it is estimated by Cycling Weekly that 40% of the British Olympic Cycling team has Asthma. Indeed 21% of the British Olympic Team as a whole had asthma. How do we actually know that any of these athletes actually...

    My Lake District Walk Landscapes

Some good shots there. I particularly like 4,5 & 6 also the Skiddaw's Path one with the dog walkers. The greens in the first one look a bit luminous to be honest, particularly bearing in mind the weather conditions.

    Thanks, Talk Photography.

I will second that. I would say this is the best run forum I have used on the internet. Very informative and with great images to study and enjoy.
