    645.... WLF.... but what next?

I found the next logical step from 645 was 6x7. I went with an RZ67 over the RB as it can use both RZ and RB lenses and it is smaller and lighter. Some people say it's not a walkabout camera, and to a certain extent, it's no easy task to lug it and a load of lenses about. That said, choose your...

Mamiya RZ67 Pro I sync speed

There should be no fuss with switches on an RZ, it should sync at any speed. As Harlequin asks, do you have any other lenses you can try? You can use RZ or RB lenses, but with RB lenses you can only use the lens sync connector. The hotshoe connection should work for RZ lenses.

Your EARLIEST image with a digital camera is....

Christmas 1999 - A picture of dad's car taken with the mighty 0.27mpx Kodak DC25. Not much likes opening the old K25 files these days. The camera didn't last all that long as I blew it up by using the wrong charger. (like all 13 year olds would) Side note, I still own the car 21 years later.

    Hoya Circular Polariser

I prefer hoya HD as they let more light through than conventional polarising filters. (around 1 stop more light) It really helps with keeping shutter speeds up.

Disappointed with X-T30 images in Lightroom

Sorry Cagey, I didn’t ignore your conversion results. I couldn’t replicate them which is more than likely down to me using ACR 9 (camera raw) which is the highest version I can run with CS6. (I’m not willing to go subscription with CC) I think adobe made some improvements in the processing...

Disappointed with X-T30 images in Lightroom

I also dumped adobe for processing RAF files and went to C1 as the issue could not be removed. I now use the free version of C1 express and export a 16 bit tiff which I process through adobe for final polish. This is what I was dealing with. Adobe processed raw using minimal sharpening and zero...

    Beginner Image Naming Convention

Probably me, but I utterly hated lightroom, primarily down to the DAM side of it. I've managed all of my assets for the last 17 years, so it's no surprise I don't like software trying to do it for me. Everyone will have their preferences on how to do things. This is my way of managing it. My...

    Secondhand scanners

I bought my epson V700 from wex. Currently looks like they have squat though. Ffordes in Scotland also have a section for scanners too but their stock also appears to be lacking. You've already covered most of the other likely places to find them. I guess it depends on what particular scanner or...

    windows 7 pro question

I've done clean installs of windows 10 using windows 7 keys and had zero issues with activation. That's both using licenses with prebuilt desktops (being used on the desktop it belongs to) and purchased disk licences on home built PCs. I used the microsoft media creation tool from their site to...

Which editing software for GoPro footage.

That's usually caused by the laptop not using hardware decoding. That could simply be a software configuration issue or a case that the gpu lacks the necessary ability to decode the footage. Without gpu hardware acceleration, it falls back to the cpu which will have a hard time managing it at...

    Nikon rubber on camera bodies

No rubber peeling on either my D800 (bought in 2013) or my D810 (bought in 2015). That said, even my F5 hasn't had any issues either and that harks back to the late 90's. I do give the grips on all the cameras a clean every couple of months, which may make a difference. That said I notice your...
