Wow, they're certainly vibrant:thumbs: Shooting in portrait format would help to emphasise their shape(or you can crop for the same effect) and you might want to play about with different apertures to throw the background out of focus.Generally speaking it's also good form to have your subject...
That's a lovely collection:thumbs: I like the delicate colours of the roses in particular and the one with the hover fly is very well caught  Good work!
I spotted this exotic looking caterpillar chomping on an oregano plant and have no idea what it could be...it was about half an inch long.
Thanks in anticipation :)

2.8 is an excellent aperture:D Like birdy961 the only one I'm not sure about is #6-bit too much background and not enough flower for my taste:D Otherwise a very nice set.
Love that manic look!! Excellent "action" shots:thumbs::thumbs:
Do you "trade up" with something more exciting when he's chewing inappropriately? It worked for mine when he was tiny and still does even aged 8.
#1 no idea.
#2 are the seed heads from an aquiligia
#3 no idea
#4 resembles a helebore of some sort
#5 bit tricky being so close up but looks like pelargonium.
If they're not spot on you should have somewhere to start looking:D
Very nice images BTW:thumbs:
Might I suggest that you buy a copy of one of the doggie newspapers(Our Dogs is one that springs to mind) that you can find in some well-known newsagents-They usually have show supplements or illustrated advertorials. At the very least you could decide what you don't want to do...
Have fun!
