Actually if you contact the RAF directly they have a specific department and some interesting characters who work in it from what I have been told who can point you in the right direction.

It is a mixed bag it really is. You can sometimes get some joy by calling 0845 010 9000. Patience is often the key. I bring some kit in from Asia once in a while for work purposes, usually I am ordering on the basis that it could take 3 full weeks to arrive.

I think its a publicity effort by the firm. Parking it in a prime location in town. Virtually everyone I know on Twitter and Facebook who work/live in town who have seen it have togged it and spread it around both arenas....maybe a tad cynical ;)
