I have read some quite good reviews about the Tamron 90 mm. Some reviews says the lens focuses very slow and hunts quite often, but the picture qualiry is very good.

I have got the 300S and Nikon 16-85 lens. It is a very good combination. I have looked at the D7000, but to me that camera has not got the same feeling as the 300S.

I used the 24-105 on my Canon 350D some years ago. Very good lens. Sharp and fast focus. The only downside is that there is not much wide-angle.
