    Buachaille Etive Mor

Sorry for the late reply, it's a wisp of cloud wrapped around the top, I did think of getting rid but decided to leave it as it was, may get rid now, looks better when it's in colour before the conversion.

    Buachaille Etive Mor

Hi All, Here's one I took earlier in the year of the Buachaille. I kept going back to it but couldn't make my mind up whether or not it worked. I finally decided to convert it to mono and I'm quite pleased with it now. I converted it entirely with Photoshop CC (quite surprised how much I could...

    Portrait Shoot

Thanks Bryn, appreciate your comments. I know what you mean about the first, I wasn't particularly happy with the eye's they are quite soft. I use the Canon 50mm 1.4 and seem to get a few problems with focus shift. I manually focus all the time and just rock back and forth on my feet to try...

Hi All, Thought I'd post a couple of photo's from a recent shoot. I'm not really a portrait photographer (more wildlife) but would like to try more so any feedback welcomed. Cheers, Carl.

    Male Shoveler in flight

Like the first one Joe, nice, sharp and great detail although I think i'd like to see a bit more of the other wing. The second one is in better position in my opinion but a little soft. Cheers, Carl.

    Portrait Lens

Cheers both. I've searched through Flickr and a few others Andy just try and gauge which is better but still can't make my mind up! Phil, I guess I'm just after something that will cover most portrait situations, like most probably. I've offered to shoot a friends wedding, dumb move I know but...

Critique Canon 85mm f1.8. Getting better!

Seriously thinking of getting this lens, can I ask what body you were shooting with?

    Portrait Lens

Hi All, Looking for a bit of advice on a portrait lens. I've been looking at the following - Canon 85 1.8 / Canon 50 1.4 or Sigma 50 1.4 All to used with Canon 5D 3. I've heard a few stories regards the latter Sigma 50 1.4, not sure if it's correct but there seems to be a lot of bad copies...
