I find the shadows distracting. I'd bounce the flashes off a reflector above the daffodil or use softboxes/umbrellas to diffuse the light. I'm not sure it does need brightening, it may be just the shadows that are making it look to dark overall.

Definitely more like that one. Maybe add a close up of the dress detail, like a bow and some of the ruff. I prefer the colour versions of these though as I think you've done a really good job with the colour and it suits these images so well. Add a colour detail shot of the dress, do that...
