    Lovely morning on the heath

Early morning on the heath to grab some video of the rut and fortunately there were plenty of stags around bellowing ,posturing and fighting. The problem is i tend to be using the 150-600mm with the 1.4 converter so don't really get a chance to take stills .But the stag was looking good with a...

I got that horrible feeling of being watched

These are the shed antlers I have found over the last couple of months ,never came across any before . The fallow are from my local area and found when looking for badger setts.

I got that horrible feeling of being watched

First trip to the New Forest to see if i could find the Sika Deer , and as they seem to stay in the ferns it's not a easy one to do . Well after disturbing these hinds and fawns i was able to get some pics as they seem to not run to far, then have a good look at you before wandering of. The plan...

Cheers for the comments guys, enjoyed watching these little fellas going about there business down on the river . Stu me ol mate as for the POV yes it would be great to get down low, the third pic was the only place on site that you had a chance to get near the water ,no fence, but that far bank...

    Time to find Ratty

Not seen one before, and the place that's meant to hold a few locally has to revealed one to me though i have seen signs they are there,so ventured to a reserve which is only 40 miles away . After leaving the car and walking less than 50 meters i had my first sighting on the far bank of the...

    Country Badger

As i will never get much wildlife in the garden unlike some lucky people, iv'e decided it was time to have a go at finding a badger sett that would reward me with some pics .So far i have found three ,one seems just to have one lone adult and the other two have one big adult with two smaller...

    Hare in the maize

Les thanks for the comments,I might visit this location once a month and never during the pheasant shooting season. I do stick to the paths 90% of the time and only dive of to get a shot being as stealth like as not to disturbe the wildlife as pos. I have total respect for the land and wildlife...

    Hare in the maize

Phil I can't disagree with the greens, i just processed from a jpeg and more than likely pushed the contrast to much. Lepus always struggle with the greens , and as for permission to be on the land it does have quite a few public footpaths , the owner seems quite a nice guy but the gamekeeper...
