I'm probably being thick, but I get frustrated quite often, especially when "taking my time" to get a nice landscape. I think my problem is that I use the Custom set C1 as my default for this type of photography. It's useful to have Low ISO, Manual Exposure, Mirror Lockup etc. all dialled in...

I've got a Manfrotto Proball 468 head on my tripod which has become really still, making it difficult to make fine adjustments to the camera position. It's had the occasional bit of salt-spray in the past, but lots of english summer to rinse it through! Any thoughts on the best way to free it...

Yup. Just to concur with neilyb, the tigers at Ranthambhore are very definitely wild...one tiger alone has killed three people in the last year or so. Beat that, West Midlands Safari Park!
