I've got an aging sony a300 so am upgrading.
I wanted the A65 but could only really afford the A57. That was until i came across Panamoz. I've ordered an A65 for the price of an A57.
I've already got a 50mm prime and a tamron 18-250 to go with it. Can't wait for it to arrive.
What about...
Just so you know, the invoice arrived at around 10.50am this morn and i sent the BACS payment around 1pm.
I was a bit nervous about the purchase, but all the comments on here have reassured me and so far so good.
Thanks all
Hi
I put in a request for a quote to be sent to me by email yesterday at around 16.00.
I've still not received the email quote. How long do these things usually take to come through?
It seems from what i have read on here that they are usually pretty good at replying.

I really like no2 and no4.
Can you tell me, when taking photgrpahs like this what do you use as the focus point. Do you use the objects in the foreground or something at a mid point?
In either case i guess you have to use a high f number to get a wide dof?
I've just picked up an Tamron 18-250 lens from eBay.
Happy with the lens. All appears to work well and managed to get some pretty good snaps.
However, there is one annoying issue. It doesn't appear to effect performance but is still annoying.
It happens when the lens is searching for focus...
I agree it looks out of focus here. The original is much sharper. It seemed to go softer when i resized it. Thanks for the comments re the comp tho. It is a shame i cut the bottom of the tree off.
Thanks
Yeah i agree it isn't the best starting material.
I'm off to Spain at the end of the week.
I've bought a large memory card and am going to switch my camera to RAW. Hopefully I'll come back with something better to work with!
Cheers

After my last dismal attempt i thought I'd have a go at processing a landscape shot, taken in the Yorkshire Dales a few years ago. This was not shot in raw.
As before, there is the original and then my 2 attempts at processing. Any feedback would be most appreciated. But remember, I'm still...
