My A65 arrived this morning. My wife has put the battery on charge ready for when i get home. All seems to have gone smoothly

Hi I put in a request for a quote to be sent to me by email yesterday at around 16.00. I've still not received the email quote. How long do these things usually take to come through? It seems from what i have read on here that they are usually pretty good at replying. Ta

I really like no2 and no4. Can you tell me, when taking photgrpahs like this what do you use as the focus point. Do you use the objects in the foreground or something at a mid point? In either case i guess you have to use a high f number to get a wide dof?

I've just picked up an Tamron 18-250 lens from eBay. Happy with the lens. All appears to work well and managed to get some pretty good snaps. However, there is one annoying issue. It doesn't appear to effect performance but is still annoying. It happens when the lens is searching for focus...

I agree it looks out of focus here. The original is much sharper. It seemed to go softer when i resized it. Thanks for the comments re the comp tho. It is a shame i cut the bottom of the tree off.

Think i'll leave it. Looks like i could cause more problems! I'll photoshop them out next time! Thanks for the pointer tho.

Thanks Guys. I can see the dust bunnies, now you mention it. Cleaning the sensor. Is that something i can do myself?

Thanks Yeah i agree it isn't the best starting material. I'm off to Spain at the end of the week. I've bought a large memory card and am going to switch my camera to RAW. Hopefully I'll come back with something better to work with! Cheers Paul
