Plenty of local sport teams love photographers coming down and taking pictures
its a great way to brush up your technique just approach the person in charge and ask them 99.9% will say yes
Both my sons have played Ice hockey since being 10year old they are now 27
that when my sport photography started.
I have now lost count of the different sport I have shot over the years
My biggest problem is that I get too involved with sport and forget about the pictures
good job it not my...
it all depends on what you are using the pic for, if its just a straight record shot the the first crop is better , if it for a competition the second crop is better because the subject is on the third and leads you into the picture, the first crop has a lot of dead space on the right and judges...
Not too bad for a first attempt,I am sure the more you do it the better they will get.
the first time I did rugby the pictures were terrible but after a while you get to know the sport and where the action is likey to happen.Having the ball in the frame is a must.

Great set of pictures ,I take the match pictures for Flintshire FreezeIce hockey club and it is not an easy sport to photograph. you need a good fast lens I use canon 70-200 F.8 on a canon7d

We pay £35 a year at Bebington Photographic Society and meet every week throughout the year,we have speakers most weeks and lots of outings and we are affiliated to the Lancashire & Cheshire Photographic Union
