I have owned both - swapped my X10 for an RX100. I miss my X10 tbh. Its just so much superior to handle and so intuitive. The RX100 does offer better low light performance but picture quality is excellent on both. I bought the RX100 as an impulse buy from my local Sony Centre who were closing...
Ok spoke to a lovely lady at Nikon. She said it was not a unique problem as she has come across it before (most people ignore it) but if its bothering me then they will sort it out under warranty. Nice!
Its annoying. Press down on the hand grip without huge pressure and the bidy creaks slightly. I dont even think Nikon would cover that under warranty would they?
Quick question - do any of you have any creaking noise issues with the body of your D7000?
I get some creaking noise around the hand grip area. More annoying than anything, especially given my D90 doesn't have this issue at all and feels solid all over.
I am having second thoughts over getting a black one. Thinking silver might be better given that some of the lenses I want are silver and some black.
Either way, if I like the OMD, my Nikon D7000 is out of the door.
This is what I am worried about. The new sensor maybe a compromise impacting image quality.
Countering this is the fact that cameras that havent got the new sensor will be worth a lot less second hand.
Thats why I am going to return it. Will wait and see how effective the new sensor is and...
I spoke to the fuji uk service centre this morning. For people dissatisfied with the orb issue, they are actually going to replace the sensor in the camera and not give out a totally new unit. They are expecting new sensors to come in sometime in May.
I'm in a total dilemma now. Potentially...
Right - I have been playing with both cameras for a few days now. I am going to keep the X10 thats for sure. There is not much in it to be honest in terms of image quality. I just find the X10 better and easier to use as I dont have to delve into the menu system too much. I will put up my XZ-1...
Fantastic pics guys.
Can anyone recommend a case for the X10? I want it reasonably tight fitting but be able to also accomodate and EF-20 flash along with the camera.
Thanks for the advice everyone.
I have been reading up on the NEX series including several reviews. one reviewer actually thought that the NEX5N had better ISO performance than the NEX7 - rather disappointing to be honest given the price difference between the two cameras. I know the NEX7...
Hard one. I have a Fuji X10 but I wouldn't have it as my only camera.
I am however considering replacing my DSLR with something smaller like the Sony NEX-7 or the Fuji X1 Pro - the replacement must offer great image quality which is my primary focus especially in mediocre light. I do feel that...
