Only thing i can add if you are going to use it for blu-rays get a remote for it, as it drove me mad trying to use the controllers for them.

I just got a Targus cooler from Argos in the last week for £30 and runs it's fans via usb to my laptop. My dad has had his for a couple of years and still going strong, so far impressed with it as runs almost silent and takes away a lot of heat from the laptop.

My boxer is guilty as charged over this as well and when she lets go you would think it was a human fart. Silent doesn't come into it and she can clear a room on her own faster than anything else but the look is priceless at times, the puzzled was that me it couldn't have been all across her chops.

For what you will be using it for an AMD processor option wouldn't be an issue really. As John said the IDE drives aren't uselss but with the new motherboard you would need for an i7 or AMD option a sata drive for your main drive would be best then you can use the ide drives as storage only.

Some of them could be companies trying to sell you stuff using a few numbers to hide behind from a number generator their end. I know I had that recently with a few financial agencies trying to spam me and the numbers were similar but a few digits out on each call to me.
