Sorry should have explained better.The sort of shots i mean are family shots rather than a single person hence the reason to go a bit wider than the 50mm i currently use.It isn't for professional shots or anything like that but i just want to be able to fit the whole family in without everyone...

I went to Paignton Zoo over the Easter holidays and it was a fantastic zoo,far better than Marwell and almost every animal you could think of made an appearance.Lots of walking though as it is huge

The cd is called Canon EOS digital solution disk and has DPP,Zoom browser,EOS utility,photostitch,original data security tools,picture style editor and WFT utility does that sound like the one you should have? it doesnt state any specific models so i would imagine it covers the whole range

I have the Original cd that came with my 50D if thats any good to you (to borrow of course :D)

I always shoot in manual as i feel it is the best way to learn about the relationship of shutter/aperture/ISO and i always shoot in RAW so I can adjust any over/under exposed pics :thumbs:
