You did well then Keith by the sounds of it conditions wise. I cant say I've seen one of these to my knowledge and not much of any specie on my local pond at the weekend just two Common Darters no hawkers and only a couple of blue damsels :shrug: John

Very Nice Phil. Not had many in the garden of late and noticed that some have had that disfiguring looking scaly leg disease. John

    Feeling rusty. Added Images

Lovely stuff again Rich and that 300 f4 is a cracking lens ( imo  ) and I wish sometimes that I had not sold mine on :'( It was very good for photographing other things such as butterflies etc , so versatile , light and giving excellent results. John

    Another IOW Red

Here's another from my trip to the IOW. Getting them into the light was all but impossible but I felt some were quite atmospheric and after all this is how they live in amongst the shade ! Thanks. John IMG_6307psePFc1cDEF1_1280 by Thomas Covenant, on Flickr

    Male Siskin

Taken a week ago. I always struggle with the yellow on these and Blue Tits as it is more a slightly unripe lemon kind of yellow than a warm yellow I always think. It never sits right with me but there you go. Thanks John IMG_7291psePFc1Def-1280a by Thomas Covenant, on Flickr

Blue Tit , Juvenille Blackbird, Great Tit -from my garden

Nice trio Lynne  I struggle with Blue Tits too as the colours never look right to me at times. Your female Blackbird is lovely and sharp with nice rich colours. John
