That's as it should always be imo regardless of whether its going to bite , sting or peck you to death
No set up shots.
And I still haven't seen one of these blighters in the flesh ....er...or scales :'(
Nicely done !
John
You did well then Keith by the sounds of it conditions wise.
I cant say I've seen one of these to my knowledge and not much of any specie on my local pond at the weekend just two Common Darters no hawkers and only a couple of blue damsels :shrug:
John
Lovely stuff again Rich and that 300 f4 is a cracking lens ( imo  ) and I wish sometimes that I had not sold mine on :'(
It was very good for photographing other things such as butterflies etc , so versatile , light and giving excellent results.
John
Here are a few from the odd days I did venture out on my hols.
Cheers

Know what you mean Rich as I have just had 2 weeks leave and its been just too hot for me to venture far unfortunately.
However, that is a very nice lady Blackbird sir so if there is any rust around its not in that department
John
Here's another from my trip to the IOW.
Getting them into the light was all but impossible but I felt some were quite atmospheric and after all this is how they live in amongst the shade !
Thanks.

Taken a week ago.
I always struggle with the yellow on these and Blue Tits as it is more a slightly unripe lemon kind of yellow than a warm yellow I always think.
It never sits right with me but there you go.
Thanks
John

Nice trio Lynne
I struggle with Blue Tits too as the colours never look right to me at times.
Your female Blackbird is lovely and sharp with nice rich colours.

If ever I question why I joined this site its answered by the unbridled camaraderie and attention to detail amongst the members as displayed here in this post :D
She's a lovely lady you've captured there Brash !
John
Yep , cracking capture Dennis and the whites look good to my eye sir
I may have been tempted to give it a bit more room but again that just me.
I've yet to nail one of these blighters myself :'(
John
Cant think I've ever seen one sat on a post and they are beggars to get right when they are against the estuary mud or are for me anyway.
Well caught sir in all respects
