I was hanging out some washing this morning when I noticed Jess sat up asleep. I managed to go into the house, go upstairs and get my camera come down to find her still asleep. Its a dogs life.

Thanks for your advice. I think as it was my first time at this style of photography, it may be a confidence issue. I may look for an event that attracts more people with cameras where I am not the only one and will not stand out so much.

I found a few in the woods near me

I had the Nikon and was lent the Tamron to try. After using on both D600 and D7100 I preferred the Tamron, so much so I sold the Nikon and bought the Tamron.

This is my first go at shooting in RAW and converting to Jpeg. Comments welcome.

I only had 70-200 with me, taken at the long end

My other half wanted to go to a car boot this morning, so to keep the peace I agreed to take her. I decided to take my camera with me while I wandered around. Although I spotted some interesting people, I felt quite uneasy about photographing them. Is there a right or wrong way to go about this...

I only got it over the Tamron as it came up at the right price. By all accounts they appear to be as sharp as each other, but the Sigma is slightly lighter.

Don't we all selectively lie !! Example; we see someone we know proudly pushing a pram along, we stop to congratulate them on their newborn. Then utter the words " oh what a lovely baby" even though it may well look like a bulldog sucking a wasp.

A friend of mine showed me her recent wedding photos and they were terrible. They looked like they had been taken on a vivid ++ setting. Her and her husband agreed they were "not brilliant" but seemed unwilling to complain. When I asked how much they had cost I could not believe the bad quality...
