My first BIF and first red kite

Thanks for your replies. Hopefully I can improve with practice. Your right I think I did unfortunately expose for the sky but it all happens so quick. I did have to lighten the shot to bring the bird out better. I've found when I exposed for the bird then the sky is totally blown out.

My first BIF and first red kite

IMG_1574-5 by yelnek, on Flickr I'd love some feedback to see where I need to improve - I'm a total beginner and this is my first BIF photo taken at Harewood House, Leeds during a dog show we were at. Taken hand held on a Canon 60D, 70-300 F4-5.6 lens at 220mm F8.0. thanks, Mark

    Canon eos 7D or 6D??

Hi I'm fairly new to digital moving over from 35mm finally. I've been trying to do some research on the 7D and 6D and both get great reviews but I'm reading that much - I'm getting a bit confused now and don't know which way to go. Money is a real sticking point so I'm wondering if its worth...

Think I might upgrade a couple of my lenses first and then hopefully something might be in the pipeline, thanks.

Is the Canon EOS 7D update coming soon

Hi there, I'm just getting slowly into digital photography and I'm thinking of buying a 7D to replace my ageing 350D. I've been doing a fair bit of research on the net before spending my pennies, there are a number of sites out there stating the 7D will very soon be updated. I'm aware as with...

    assaulted when taking photos

Why are people to easy to blame the police. Come on, doesn't common sense apply in this situation. Would you walk about with a necklace around your neck with £1000 wrapped around it in a dodgy area and being totally oblivious as to what might happen - because that's just what you have done...

    Hi

hi there, if I was being totally honest the 7D is probably too much money for me also and will more than likely get a 60D - I'll have to check out if the extra money for the 7D is actually worth the extra in the long term. I've looked on the 2nd hand market but the 7D seems few and far between.

    Hi

Hi everyone. Just joined this forum, seems really good. Loads of great advice. I used to be mainly into 35mm photography, still have a fair bit of kit left. I was given a canon 350d and have been playing around with it for a few years. I'm currently saving up possibly for a 7D if the wife...
