I almost dropped out of doing Wordle. The other day was a busy one and I lay in bed managing to get the answer at 11.59 with the success screen! Seconds later and the clock ticked past midnight.... and it thought I had failed My running streak was reset. Hey ho! That will stop me chasing any streaks - the pressure is off now

2g 1y on my start word made it fairly obvious where the y went and there wasn't much that fitted
Just checked in the crosswordy thing and 4 that fitted apparently. The other 3 I've never heard of and sound like they were used back in the middle ages, so probably a bit early to figure in an American dictionary........

Seems I'm fortunate to have got away with a 4. It wasn't easy. Blanked the first then 2y. The next try got me 2g 1y and luckily tied down where the y had to go, but not a word thatwould have sprung to mind easily
