Took a trip up to Scotland this weekend and slowly going through all the images but thought I'd share these two first

Really like both of them but I think No 1 edges it for me.

No 1 is excellently composed Richard and for me is the best of the two by far.

1 is good, ideally a mirror surface would have been nicer but its good enough.
2 shows a lovely calming autumn scene, well taken

Like composition and early light in V1 the slight movement in the clouds works well too.
For me a crop in from the bottom on V2 would help focus you more on the distance landscape.

I like them both but agree that the first is best. I think it might be slightly off horizontal though. I think the left side is lower than the right.
