Acdsee vs lightroom

Yes
I've used acdsee for almost 20 years, and have often wondered how it compares to lightroom.
Are there any users who have used both and if so what do you think?
I know I could trial lightroom but I am curious to hear from others.
I'm not really looking to change, acdsee does all I need but it seems to be a definite underdog in terms of popularity at least in the UK (I think it's more popular in the USA)
This is just idle curiosity by the way, but thanks for any wisdom!

I used Lightroom 5 in the past and then switched to ACDSEE (2023). Basically my thoughts are LR is by far a better photo editor from the quality of edits and tools. The main saving grace of ACDSEE is the library management which works pretty well. As for the RAW conversion I use DXO Pureraw as I find ACDSEE is only good for low iso where there there only marginal adjustments required.

Many thanks for your reply.
Maybe I should give it a try at some point just to see.
Much appreciated!

I haven't used the newer version of ACDC but the old one had a shadow highlight tool miles better than LR, you had more options and better tonal selections.
For me the beauty of LR is being able to just click say 30 images and ajust all at the same time.
