You would probably find it's as cheap to buy a new tv rather than try and get your old one fixed. I bought 3 x 32" hd tv's from an auction room for about £120 each.
I am not so sure that would be a good idea.Even though you're buying a new un, unscrew the back off the old one & take a peep inside just to quell your curiosity + you'll be able to see if anything has been dropped in there (sabotage? )
Indeed. Not sure on current tech but tv used to contain larger capacity capacitors that need to be handled with caution to avoid electrocution.I am not so sure that would be a good idea.

Snap, I had a Pioneer plasma too ! Just changed it after 12 years, my brother in law is chuffed to bits with it!define old, my last tv (pioneer plasma) was 11 years old before i upgraded it.
