Autumnal Woodland

Hi All,

This is my first, what I would class as a 'proper' woodland image.

Interested in any thoughts/critique etc.

A nice composition and nice subtle autumn colours. well taken Tom

Woodland isn't as easy as it sounds.
I normally end up with lots of stray twigs and clutter

A bit of mist really helps these situations and it has here, very nice image.

Yes I think you've done well with this. Woodland scenes are not easy to compose correctly. The mist makes the image

Yes can only echo what the others have said. Nice shot, well composed and good conditions for it.

I find woodland hard. All I ever see is chaos!

Thanks very much. Yeah I’ve tried other stuff and not been happy enough with them before, it’s tough unless you have those perfect plantations in Dorset.

What's not to like, very nice. As a personal preference I'd be tempted to have a play with some split toning, especially the highlights with a slightly warm tone.
