Basic Astro Photography

JGS001, any chance you can point out Perseus and Cassioepeia for me on this picture because I cant spot them, but to be fair I could not work out the orientation or scale if you paid me:bonk:
Thanks agin for the tutorial though, I recompiled my pictures form the other night (its been snowing since so no visable sky) but pushed up the exposure in PS before saving them as TIFF files, this seemes to have had a slightly better effect on the result which is now closer is style to the quick edit you made.

Anyway I'm just waiting for the temperature to drop so this cloud goes away then I will try again. I have had a few more ideas on what I want as a result

Great tutorial!

This was the reason why I bought a SLR, but never got a chance to try this out yet because of lack of clear dark skies here.

I'll be in Cyprus in a week and hoping I'll finally get a chance to try it out!
