Battery Powered Outdoor Lighting

It's a nice idea and something a number of people have been trying to get right for a while. But it looks a little underpowered to me. OK if you want low powered studio lights without accurate modelling lights but pretty useless outdoors.

re the underrepresentation of QFlash, I don't think there's a Quantum rep on the forum is there?

So are you saying that these will be better?

GN looks a lot less on the Strobeam and a weaker modelling light than the Visisco.

And there are these to consider too

And I bet Lencarta will produce something similar to one of the above products for Focus too.

Probably safest for me not to comment ;) There's nothing I can tell you about those lights that isn't covered by an NDA.

Others in the past have drawn a distinction between manufacturer's most optimistic guide numbers and proper tests. And measuring light output in watts is as I've said before like measuring car speed in miles per gallon.

I think Focus is going to be interesting.

But some of us value an opinion, whether it be manufacturer based bias, promoter based bias or pro rep based bias.

Some of us are intelligent enough to blank out the 'them and us' bit.

This forum is for sharing and we should be able to conclude, from your experiences, our own vision for what we need from a product.
