Yes
...since I posted anything -just not getting much shutter time of late, but I've just forced myself out there and caught this flighty piece catching some late afternoon rays.

Nice shot I think ;) is it a hedge sparrow?

Sorry what am I thinking of... it's a female House Sparrow!

The Hedge Sparrow or Hedge Accentor is better known as a Dunnock.

Dunnock.

I was thinking the other day that you hadn't done a bird recently CT!
Those are a couple of cracking shots, especially the first one (y)

Great shot CT (y) realy nice shots.
(Do you sharpen them or tweak them in Photoshop ??)

Thankee. I always sharpen, but when the images have been reduced to web size as here, they lose resolution and always need sharpening anyway, regardless of how sharp (or otherwise) they were before. :)

Nice shot as always CT (y) I like your dunnock shot better I'm not to keen of the oof branches to the right of your first image just seems to tight and theirs not freedom. Cracking shot at 1/200th with the 500 (y)

See, now I liked the way the oof branches added to the limited DOF for that 3D effect, making the bird stand out. Eye of the beholder though.. :)

Thankyou for the info. The detail always look so sharp in the feathers etc, nice shots.

 Two great shots there :notworthy:

Couple of good shots CT(y), even with time out you've not lost your touch.
