Bit of a rant

How come, when I'm at work the light is perfect, come the weekend it's grey, drizzley and flat?

This morning's light was beautiful - low sun, clear sky and a gorgeous golden glow everywhere. I just know tomorrow it will rain. There should be a law against this, I might write a letter to my MP.

Sorry, it's just been like this for me for ages now and I think it's getting to me :cuckoo:

yup.

also in the sods law camp, ive been on the train for the last couple weeks and i always see the nicest scenes in the middle of nowhere that i have no idea how to access. coming across the forest on weds morning for example, a really nice blanket of fog with the sun coming up over the trees on the horizon etc.

Looking out of my office window right now, the only word I can use to describe the quality of the light is "magical". I'm not amused. It's like the gods are taunting me. When I get home it will be dark, tomorrow it will rain or be grey, as will Sunday. Monday there will be a lovely mist in the valley and a low sun again as I drive down the hill to work.

In the same way that nature abhors a vacuum it clearly has it in for us Togs. Why are there so many birds in my garden, until I am ready for them with my 120-300 ready for action? Want clouds for a spectacular sunset and it will be clear skies for days...:bang::bang:

I have a similar problem with the red pandas at Chester Zoo. Whenever I turn up, the little b********s are hiding in the trees. They have no sense of social responsibility at all!

Could i have your schedule for the next year please? It would be nice to know when the sunny days are so I could go out and clicky. Any day you are at work should be good. Do you take requests? :naughty:

you are definitely not the only one...

It was semi-decent during the week with at least some blue skies. I'm off today, and its overcast skies all day :bang:

It's called Murphy's Law. Anything that can go wrong, will.

I share your pain. For the last two weeks I've been experiencing this, today the light has been fantastic and I've been stuck indoors at work. My wife is a nurse and works random nights and we have a dog who has had an operation on one of her feet and she isn't allowed to be left alone or walk for any length of time - my plan was to go out on Saturday & Sunday while my wife looks after the dog, phonecall last night - shift change for my wife, she's working tonight and Saturday night, so that's me scuppered - the forecast for Sunday "Heavy rain". Flippin' typical. :bang:

It could be worse, you could have to go out a shoot a wedding in the C*** weather we have been getting recently. I spoke to DD on the phone last week and he was slipping around on a set of steps in the pouring rain.

It should be Ok tomorrow because I have a wedding to shoot and have been sacrificing things at the bottom of the garden............:)
