bittern spotting

doesn anyone know of any good areas in the north west / lancashire area where, with a little paitience, i may be able to get some shots of a bittern?

i was told by a rspb that he hadnt seen one in 12 years of looking they are supposed to be realy hasd to find.just going to check my reserves book.

im in the shandy drinking south so its all up north to me

lol like it. just had a look on the rspb website, i'd say it just about in lancashire lol, still about an hour and a half on the train, will have to make a special trip sumtime

shame you arent a bit closer to birmingham, Upton Warren has a couple of very co operative Bittern at the moment.
