Got out my new 10 stop filter today but didn't get too many shots, too windy for my cr*p tripod and the pier was vibrating under the power of the waves plus the spray caused strange effects and it was difficult to find somewhere that was dry, still I had some fun and lots of fresh sea air.

I think the 1st one looks great, very 1950s looking, I can see what you were going for in the 2nd but 1/2 a Blackpool Tower spoils it a bit, well done for bravng the Blackpool weather though
 
I too like the 1st one better. The perspective is good and the bit of blown sea lends itself to the mood I think. It looks ethereal. I agree with wack61 about the 2nd one. The tower is so recognisable it dominates the shot. Maybe a tighter crop and I even think it would look good in sepia, it just has that feel.

Amazing you got any at all looking at the weather! :clap:

No 1 is fantastic really quite eerie.
