A small monthly social gathering for likeminded, fun and friendly individuals.

We meet at the Plough Inn, Station Road, Taunton. A fantastic little venue with a great atmosphere and a lovely selection of food and drink available. We dont put ourselves out there as Photography Club, more of a Social Group.

We set challenges, and show our images on a projector screen. Discuss techniques and generally have a giggle.

London Photography Club - The Photo School

I help coordinate photography events for a photography group. We're beginners - mostly SLRs but compact cameras too.
The experience level ranges from never having touched a camera, to studied it over 20 years ago!

We have free practice events, workshops, masterclasses, exhibitions etc.
Always keen to hear from Londoners what else they would like to organise. You can easily join at www.meetup.com/the-photo-school/

I've organised over 63 events now and the photo below is from our latest outing to the National Portrait Gallery last Friday night to see the BP Portrait Prize.
There were 13 of us for the exhibition and a few of us stayed on to chat afterwards and have a drink.

I have recently joined the Halstead and District Photographic Society in Essex. I have been welcomed into the club. People come to it from quite a long way in Essex and Suffolk and it has a high standard and does well in national competitions.

They have a lot of competitions, with separate ones for novices and experts, and meet fortnightly on Thursday evenings in a church hall and also have an extra meeting each month at a local pub.

County : Gwent

Went for the first time this very evening and thoroughly enjoyed it, very friendly atmosphere, very high standard of images produced, (it was a competition night) and many years of experience to call upon when I need.

looking forward to next week

Page not coming up for me .

I go to a local club, but couldn't recommend it.

Its quite a large club, well attended with a full program of events and regular outings. trouble is I have been going for 6 months and I have only been spoken to by two members, The Chairwoman and the treasurer.

Miserable bu**ers

I,ve been to a few like that in the past .

Just for your information ....

If any of you know The Shuttleworth Collection near Biggleswade in Bedfordshire; there is a Photographic club of sorts - or perhaps more a collection of like minded individuals who are part of SVAS ....

http://www.svasweb.org/photosection.php

we also have our own Flickr page ...

http://www.flickr.com/groups/svas-ps/

£25 p/a to join SVAS & a further £10 to be part of the SVAS-PS.
Your £25 will get you half price admission into Old Warden & the £10 gets you foc "photographic flightline walks"
