I have a Canon 7D with four lenses, the biggest being the 100mm macro with hood. I have a Kata DR-467 at the moment which just seems to be struggling. The macro lens has to go in the top section and it just seems to be a squeeze getting my new camera in. So I'm looking for something bigger maybe the Lowepro flipside 400 AW.

I'm looking at something with easy access as I will be going to motorcross events and don't want to have to put it down to access the main compartment. The slingshot bags are not good as I really need a normal rucksack style to protect my back.

It's difficult to tell on line how big these bags are, I don't want to look like I'm going on a hiking expedition!

Any suggestions/ recommendations appreciated.
 
I have a Lowepro Flipside 400AW, externally isn't that big - looks like a medium size rucksack, but internally seems quite cavernous as mine holds Gripped D90 & 17-55 F/2.8, Nikon F5 & 50mm F/1.4, SB900, Cokin filter stuff, all my spare batteries (AA and D90), Film etc.

With a bit of rearrangement I reckon could also fit a 300mm F/4 or 70-200mm F/2,8 in there.

Thanks. I found a video of the flipside 400AW on youTube, I like the back access idea.

I'm going to have to go for the more expensive black one though, working in the armed forces the green is a little too military for me:gag:

Agreed - it's a Tardis. Mine will take two bodies, two 300mm+ lenses and smaller lenses as well. It i9s comfortable enough to walk in all day. The only snag I had with it is that the weatherproofing takes the form of a cover stowed in a compartment at the bottom. With it deployed, the tripod holder is unusable.

no but i need a bag big enough capable of fitting a gripped body and as i have a 7d it will fit my gripped 7d lol

I was only asking. With your ongoing spat with DR, putting a post like that makes it look like you have a grip on your 7D. Maybe putting soon to be gripped 7D could save you some hassle from DR if they read that post as i did.
