just thought i'd post this...its a wired remote works for (i'm guessin) most canon cameras came through the post today. for semi-pros or amateurs like me it is amazing esp for the price!!! it even has a lock on too so u can set the camera on bulb mode and press the shutter then slide to lock, then go off to make urself a cuppa!!!

oh did i mention if u press half way it focuses just like the shutter on the camera...sooo excited!!!! :bonk:

Hope you have some fun with this remote, it does open alot of options for you. I wonder how long it will be til you progress to a radio remote?????
 
It'll fit the xxxD range but not the xxD or xD ranges because they have a different socket. As I found out when I upgraded.
 
I bought a remote from Honkers on FleaBay for about a 5iver, used on a 5D, no probs.
Radio control gizzmo about £12, works great, both fast delivery, lots of them about.

Could you tell me how long the wire is? had a quick glance at the spec but couldn't see it!

for that price is proberbly about a metre
 
yeah its about a meter long. Now all i need is a decent tripod and some clear skies at night and i might be able to get some pictures of stars. Ohh soo excitin!

The Wireless remote sounds like a good idea but need to buy a tripod first and a set of expensive headphones. So might not be able to afford another remote.
 
that reminds me need to leave a positive review for those guys. it really is a decent kit. even though it feels abit cheap but for the price...do i really care?!
