I just received a Tamron SP 85mm F/1.8 Di VC USD (Model F016) and I have no issues with the sharpness of this combination . . . this is a curved surface (a punch/kick bag) and I focused on the 'circle' in the middle . . . SOOC and brill ! I went out tonight with a tripod and my new to me this week TAMRON SP 85mm F/1.8 Di VC USD (F016) and got this very sharp photo . . .
" Download and have a look . . . Focused on the edge of the centre green strip-light in the middle of the frame : On a tripod : Canon 7D mk One with TAMRON SP 85mm F/1.8 Di VC USD F016 at f/1.8 and 1/6s iso100 - On-tripod 2s timer delay. Sharp enough for me ! "
