Hi Guys

While just two days into my holiday my mode dail on my Canon 7d just snapped off leaving me stuck in Aperture Priority.

Has anybody else had this happen to their Canon and how did you go about having the dail fixed?

I've heard people mentioned about Canon Elsetree Service centre? I damaged a camera (A while ago now) and from what I recall, I just went though my home insurance. A few questions, £25 fee to be paid and a week or so later a brand new camera arrived for me (some high end Canon at the time, think it might have been a 5D or 50D.

Check your home insurance - worth a call!
 
Oops yer sorry about that I thought the first one didn’t post so I wrote it again [emoji15] I’m a bit of novice really with forums [emoji16]
 
Just to let you guys know I dropped the camera into my local Canon repair centre yesterday they are going to fit the upgrade mode dial with the locking feature and I’ve asked them to give it a full service so they can check the issue with the battery £250
