CFExpress Card getting Hot in Reader

Apologies if this has been asked before, but I’ve done a search and cannot find anything.

I use a Lexar 128GB CFExpress Card in my R5, and have noticed that when I insert the card in the Lexar CFExpress Card reader connected to my iMac, after downloading the files to my computer and eject the card, the card is very hot to the touch.

Is this normal?

I only have a Lexar Card and a Lexar Card Reader so am unable to compare with other cards/readers.

I have the same and have also noticed it gets hot.
edit: Having now read the link above, I should mention I’m usually downloading hundreds of images, not just 3!
