My Grandmother had one of those. It replaced the Herald estate that my Dad reversed into a tree when he was moving it!

Hi, the parents of my English exchange student had one in 1973. I still remember the ride in Cholsey/UK ...
 
Mum had one of those when I was about 4 or 5. Having jumped out of a tree into a cocktail stick trap that my sister had planted underneath the tree, I apparently sat in the passenger footwell wiggling the stick and showing Mum how the lump on the top of my foot was moving around. She was more traumatized by that sight than I was by the near piercing!!!

Yep ... they did suprise a few people. This is a GT and a bit of a sleeper, factory fitted 1275 supercharged engine under the bonnet. It goes well :)
