Computer Problem, any ideas please

Looks like PSE9 will bite the dust along with an old install of Photo Ninja, not sure about Google Nik, think the new owners were bringing out a paid for version

TT, would you still have the original installation files in the Downloads folder on the duff machine? If so it might be worth getting hold of a HDD caddy to get them off the old units disk and whatever else you want.

Thanks, certainly worth a try, didn't know they left behind anything transferable
Would a caddy/enclosure thingy like this be what I require https://www.amazon.co.uk/SATA-USB-External-Enclosure-Caddy/dp/B001EL0SQ0

If it's a desktop I would have thought that it would have a 3.5" HDD unit (approx physical size 150 x 100 x 30 mms) in which case one of these would be better https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01DO1J1RY/_encoding=UTF8?coliid=I15U02A5XMJCWX&colid=28Z0QRWVQ7P&psc=1

if its the power then you may hear a small sound when turned on ?
Could be the ram, swap them around or alternatively leave one stick out

It was a compact Packard Bell Imedia S2870 desktop, https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B007ZYHPHU/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Got the 2.5" bit from the original spec, will dismantle it once I get the new one up and running
Didn't realise I had it so long, can't complain for what I paid originally

Thanks, but to be honest I have given up trying to sort it out and bought a new machine.
Very likely the PSU, but due to its compact size the power unit is an unusual type and from what I can see not readily available
