Could be the most massive market rebound today?

Certainly a big rebound. Rolls Royce up 10%, most others in my portfolios up between 3 and 6%. My wife's SIPP account has gained in value from before the Iran war during the last week, as has her ISA. My SIPP has just scraped back to break even since Trump's adventure started. I wish I'd had some free funds to invest a few days ago, but hey-ho.

Never thought about sticking more money into my bonds, looking at our isa allocation, nice to see our funds recovering a bit though, and the euro rising a bit, Madeira tomorrow am, winds on the island permitting, warnings for tomorrow.

I'm expecting a very healthy uplift for my vanguard funds overnight :)

I wonder if it's short-lived - reports seem to suggest that hostilities may resume very quickly, thanks to Israel attacking Lebanon, and certainly very little oil getting through.

oh i think Iran holds all the cards now
it will blame israel for keeping the straits shut
and force the world to accept the truth that israel are exploiting
all that is going on to push its own agenda
this actually may force the rest of the world to act against israel

Of course; when in doubt, blame the Jews.
Andrew, get it straight: he is blaming the state of Israel and it's politicians, not the Jewish people. Don't conflate the two things.

I disagree. We've seen enough of his postings to know exactly who he is blaming. If he means "the current Israeli government", then he should write "the current Israeli government".
...not the Jewish people. Don't conflate the two things.
That is exactly the problem. Israel, the homeland of the Jewish people (and several non Jewish people) is very different from the current government of the State of Israel. The current government of Israel, in my opinion and that of many Jews, is composed of greedy, racist, vicious pains in the posterior and I will agree with anyone who says or writes that.

It really is vital that anyone criticising the current government of Israel makes it clear that is who they are criticising, otherwise, they are blackguarding the race and that is thin ice.

I don't wish this to derail the thread. Suffice to say that it should be quite obvious that using the term "Israel" refers to the state, not the ethnicity and culture of some of its people.
