David Bowie Has Died

Just seen it on the news, can't believe it! I didn't know either.
 
Gutted. End of!

My all time hero.
 
Was my hero as a kid R.I.P.
 
He has a new album out and in the TV adverts he looks old and ill.

I like some of his stuff, but would not describe myself as a fan. However, there has to be something special about a man name-checked in a Kraftwerk song.

I suppose if you have grown up with his music and appreciated it, I am the same age as Bowie was, it is worthy to pass a comment of appreciation and sadness

Has has made a significant contribution to "music" which will continue forever

A huge part of my formative years, so sorry.
 
Gutted, first album I bought was Rise and Fall and last album Blackstar on Friday.

Much vinyl will be played today at Bearend, R.I.P.

one of THE great songs.......

I was never a real fan but it was a great shock to hear he'd died. Some of his songs will stand the test of time in the way that Lennon/MaCartney songs will.

Wow, I'm stunned and sad. He was a big hero of mine and the main person in life who showed me you don't need to be a sheep i suppose
I'm often amazed how under rated he was. Two nights ago, kooks came on the radio and I sang along every word tho I'd never heard it for ages. My Mrs looked astonished as she'd never heard it before.

At school one of my mates was a massive Bowie fan and used to add his lyrics into essays. The teacher used to always give him A's and never knew he was just using bowie lines.

He brought pleasure to millions of people over nearly 5 decades, influenced thousands of musicians and affected untold lives through his music, art and performances. If you can't say something to show a bit of respect and decorum, then say f*** all!!!
