A few dew drops from the garden this morning.

Canon's MP-e 65 and lit with the MT 24 ex macro twin lite.

I've got to have a go at that. Great stuff Alby.
Did you use your Panasonic for those ones?

Doh! Not quick enough lol!

Lovely mate, iv been looking at getting the MPE myself.. i might just wait untill the market has returned to some sort of normality though!!..

Cracking set Alby No.2 for me!

:bonk: I didnt think you could excel yourself anymore than you already have with macro stuff Alby, then you go and post these  Not even going to try and chose a fav, they are all equally good, beautifully focused and composed, spot on exposure and pin sharp. FTR, they look uber cool on the black forum theme for anyone using one of the others.:clap:

great photo's  just a question i see the lens is for canon, but do nikon do a lens that is that sharp for macro.

Fantastic shots! Just gorgeous!

While they may do lenses as sharp as this, they don't have anything to rival the MP-E 65, which starts at a magnification that all other macro lenses stop at!

Thanks everybody for all your kind comments which are very appreciated.
Eye on Me, Chris answered your question perfectly the Mp-e is a unique specialist lens that only Canon owners have the privilege to use on their Canon cameras.

Theres just something about No3 that does it for me.

It looks as if the water is about to drop with the next one ready to take it's place.

It guides my eye all over the frame from the detail in the water drop up the leaf to the next drop then over to the left where you have the rest of the plant so out of focus that it leaves a hint of green and makes me wonder whats going on there.

In short I like a lot.

Have you thought about using cross-polarised flash for these Alby? (get rid of/reduce the flash reflection) I've only done a little messing about with that so far but it works a treat on shiny round things.

Could do with some light on the background too....slow sync (fill) flash should do the trick ;) (get the ambient exposure up to make backgrounds brighter or light the whole scene with flash)

Fantastic, I find even if I use tap water I can always see contaminants in the drops.

Do you actually stage the reflections in the drops?

Fantastic as usual Alby well done

Thanks folks ;)
Here is the stage and as you can see I don't use chemicals in my garden looking at the leaf destruction. I have to get down on these old knees and struggle back up again afterwards
daft Biker, the background is quite dark that side of the garden and it is under a laurel bush so I would struggle to get the speed to freeze the shot with these shaky old arms of mine

Excellent images, they work well with the flash making the green and black contrast nicely.

Can't think of anything to say about these that hasn't already been said so..................wow:clap::clap::clap:
