Dovercourt lighthouse

Another early morning start but at a new location for me at Dovercourt.
Sunrise wasn't brilliant and the clouds didn't stay for long, so much for the weather forecasts ! Decided on a long exposure capturing some beautiful light on the groynes band lighthouse.

Can't fault it really. The pastel colours look great.

Yes, dramatic light can be great but some scenes don't need it. I like the crop that keeps everything a bit minimal and tidy so the eye is naturally led from the groynes to the post to the lighthouse.
