Exif Data

Exif should be there.

To read exif,

you can download a prog such as opanda exif viewer, or if you are using Photoshop you shopuld be able to see exif in the image properties

Some sofware is operating system specific though, so let us know what you are using, XP, Mac, and what type of browser etc.

Its readable in some software that you load your pictures into.. For example in Photoshop its in the drop down menu FILE look down to FILE INFO

As stated, the exif is already there.

Opanda is an easy way to look at it.

http://www.opanda.com/

There is a plug in for Firefox,if you use that as a browser.

:agree: this is the method I use, if you have photoshop then theres no need for further software

What if you are surfing the web and do not want to open up PS...........

A plugin is much quicker than opening up PS........

I use PhotoME to view online exif rather than opanda, my preference I prefer the interface and it works well with the opera web browser. It's free and you can edit exif data using it as well.

Edit: Another one I occasionally use is the exif plugin for irfanview. That tends to get used if I'm browsing a folder.

If your using a relatively rescent version of windows, right click on the file, Properties, Details.

How do I add exif data with an image?
How do I read exif data from an image?

Allan

You've had some help on reading it...

You don't add exif to an image the camera does. Editing programs can add extra bits to exif and they can remove it completely. Photoshop has a save for web option that makes it easy to have your picture saved at the right size. Downside is save for web saves file size by removing all the exif data from the jpeg file. 'Save as' if you want to keep the exif in PS.
