Hello all,
I an new to photography and this forum. Apologies if am starting a new thread as I couldn't find any old ones.
I've just come across the following
Quote: ''If you look through the viewfinder and see a very bright picture, set the camera’s exposure compensation to +1 or even +2. If your picture is mostly filled with dark things, you might want to employ an exposure compensation of -1 to -2.''
Is the above true? I was really under the impression that if it's a bright picture/lighter object to set the exp compensation to minus and on plus side if it's a darker object.
Really confused now. Any advise appreciated.
Many thanks, and apologies if this question has been posted elsewhere.
