Mamiya 645 1000s. I have a million photos that would fit this month perfectly, but theres only two taken in the right time period! Anywho, this is my choice. Juggler and someone walking by and noticing. Leading lines.

Well done everyone (and we all have points!).

Nice shot @Carl Hall - You're a dedicated fellow to attempt a shot like that on film. It's not like digital where you can just shoot away until you get the shot at no extra cost.

    Thanks all :)

Don't tell anyone, but I did take some photos on my DSLR along side so that I could figure out the right exposure. I'm currently writing it all down on a blog post, so will post it up later in case anyone else ever tries high speed photos and finds it useful. :)

Well my entry would have been exploding rockets from new year's day and would have posted if Asda was still operating.....but having already two finished rolls to send off to Filmdev decided to finish two more rolls in two different cameras and send four rolls off together.....erm but too cold for me to take shots outside so using the film up now at home for "still life".

    Snip:
I don't think there's anything wrong with using a DSLR to take a test shot to check exposure and depth of field, etc. After all, what's the difference between doing that and a photographer using a Polaroid back on their camera to take test shots in the days when film was the only option? It cuts down on wasting film and that helps the environment, so a double win there. If we get too purist about things then we wouldn't even allow ourselves to use a light-meter, let alone use autofocus or Programme AE.

Mind you, I once read that Ansel Adams apparently frowned upon exposure bracketing, saying it was for people who didn't know what they were doing, or words to that effect. If so, I wonder what he'd make of today's digital camera users chimping away until they got a reasonable photo?!
