In reponse to the thread about the spoilt girl and the car - what was your first car?
Probably not many of us - too many bad habits now :embarrassed:
When I move to Canada, I have to take a driving test to get a license in British Columbia I feel sick just thinking about it
I do miss the fact there were no speed cameras and fewer cars on the road.
First car was a Porsche 911 SE.

Ooops! just spotted a slight typo,
was meant to read Ford Fiesta

it had one of those gear leavers that came out at an odd angle from somewhere deep in the bulkhead.
Mine was like that and it was pot luck as to whether you had selected the right gear
Cripes my 1st car was one of these piles of S***
Then I made it worse ... I bought a diesel Astra :bonk:
Solved all that by buying a stonking V70... dont laugh its ace!
1981 "w" plate Fiat 127 here - the top half of the car was bright red and the lower half had been sprayed silver - looked rather nice! Bought for £100 because it had no reverse gear - I learnt to do three point turns by doing the forward bits myself and Dad getting out and pushing me for the reverse parts! Did eventually get that fixed, and after two years happy driving I part-exchanged it for car two for £200 so that was a result!
