Golf coarse photography

I dont see how people feel that it is acceptable to disrespect any golfer at amteur level by not giving them the same form of etiquate which is widely accepted on all of the tours and any other event.

Im sorry but people saying, its about time people realised we can do as we want as photographers are the people who give photography a bad name/image as they clearly think what they are doing is of more importance than the respect of the individuals involved.

Add to the fact that if you ever want to try and start shooting tournament play in the future is it not a good idea to practice in a manner which you HAVE to use at an event unless you fancy being remove from the grounds?

At the end of the day taking photos is fun, but it shouldnt be at the expense of someone elses day!

this is a pretty funny post

because i used to respect other people but having spent so long on photo forums i find that my consideration has been eroded.
quite a conundrum you have presented:thinking:

It doesn't matter what level the golf is at - it's about respect. Go look that up.

You still have not answered my question about whether you can hear a shutter from 30 yards away.

I PLAY PRO SPORTS I KNOW ABOUT RESPECT.

I SHOOT PRO SPORTS I KNOW ABOUT RESPECT.
I've stopped listening to this thread - you just can't get through to some people.

And if you read my post, it clearly states
a few points

1. amateurs deserve the same respect as pros
2. IF he ever wanted to then maybe shoot a few tournaments.

I suggest you read posts yourself before criticising others :cuckoo:

see now this is where i get to crow about respect

my coal yard is next door to a driving range
the coal yard has been there 60 years, the driving range about 10.
when those particular pricks with their pings or even the course management stop using my staff and our vehicles as targets i'll show the gimps some respect on a public course.

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?oe=ut...308551&spn=0.000864,0.001714&t=h&z=19&iwloc=D

so you bang on about respect some more
'cos we all have some respect when it impacts our world but are flexible when it dosen't

arguing on the internet is bad mmm'kay

have fun
you win etc etc
i'm going of to play cameras rather than talk about them:bonk:

andrew748, tiler65, awp - You all seem to be spoiling for an argument in this thread. Leave it now please! or have some time off to cool down, up to you :)

SO because you have bad experiences with people you advise others to act the same.

And they wonder why society is so bad these days.

Its very easy to have open discussions on the internet its a shame some people dont want one ;)

I'm amazed to return to see 48 posts  i've though about this and some golfers won't like it for the fact that seeing somebody taking a picture even before they've took their shot will not feel 100% comfortable with it, even if they are playing a casual round with a friend. I can see some of the pitfulls with it. I've played darts at top level before and it would be a bit like throwing at the board while the chalker turns and watches you ! (not very inspiring) Thanks for the replies though it's made interesting and funny reading

i am not prepared to discuss my personal failings with you
as it looks like you are gosh darn near perfect.

i salute you and really hope that you can cope with the whole goodbye concept and will not view it as rudness or cowardice on my part.

I have no wish to be suspended because we have so far failed to reach an accord and in truth, this being the internet it is unlikely that we will.

Cameras are banned at large golf competitions due to shutter noise, except the pros obviously.

That's why you don't see many pics on here of Tiger woods in the Open!

isnt that rule apply to Sony users only

so, who wants 24 hours off then?
