well after a day at the local zoo this weekend it got me thinking that there must be alot of other places to go

i was wandering about london zoo, has anyone been there, if so what are the picture oppurtunitys like

also how about longleat

Not been to London Zoo for a while but it's quite enclosed and not that photography friendly as far as I've heard. Whipsnade is a very good place to go, very open and you can take your car in.

wow, a whole 12 minutes before bumping!

Not been to London yet despite being a ZSL member, I keep finding myself going to Whipsnade as it is easier, and a nice day out if you want to go for a walk on the hills too

London zoo is not as big as it was when i went many years ago but i have been to Longleat on 3/4 occassions and Woburn Abbey the same and have got some good pictures at both.
The Isle of Wight is within reach of you and they have (don't know what it's like) a zoo there as well as some nice little beaches...Bonchurch was my favourite.

Haven't been to London Zoo in a long time, Longleat is great though as long as you avoid the car wrecking monkeys!
