Yes
I've just discovered the above site - it's free to register all kind of assets in case of theft or loss, and is approved by most insurers who apparently will accept a report from Immobilise.com as a replacement for a police report. You can add photos as well.
Worth getting all your kit serial numbers registered in case the worst should happen, as it has done here recently. Recovered property is automatically checked against their database, and they're trying to increase use by dealers who buy/trade used equipment.
Hope this is of use to you.

Very useful Phil. thanks for sharing that :)

Sounds a great idea. That's us being kept busy over the festive period :) Now where's the 'Thanks' button when you need it?

:thankyou:

Great idea, I think I came across this site a few months ago,.....but am I the only one who's wary of giving one person a completely list of what valuable things are in my house? ;)

Nope - me also. As my old mum used to say, 'tell em nothing'.

Thought this was worth a bump..

In response to the last posters, the site is recommended by the police and the Home Office. The police can access the database when stolen property is recovered, so you stand a chance of getting your gear back if you are unlucky enough to lose it.

Good enough for me, and not bad for a free service :)

Worth doing - these guys were recommended to me by Cambridge Police when my bike got nicked about 18 months ago.

Definately legit.

Thanks for the info Phil, I thought Immobilise was just for mobile phones.
