Hi there,
Been taking some photo's at a friends little 'uns Christening today and just been reviewing some of the photo's and noticed this on loads of them

Notice the red 'artifact' just above the lips (the philtrum)
This is 100% crop no processing done at all, It looks worse before converting to JPEG
Taken with my kit lens @38mm f5 1/80 at ISO800, I shoot only RAW.
This shows up really obvious in these pics but less in others but I'm pretty sure it's in them all, I've changed to my nifty fifty and took a shot of my lens cover @ ISO200 and it show'd up there too.
I've reviewed pics I took at some Chinese NY celebrations last week and can't find the same problem in those, though the subject matter is really colourful so that doesn't help.
I guess I'm asking what is this? It's not what I'd expect sensor dust to look like so I'm thinking the worst!!
Thanks for all your help
Joe
