Can these be used standalone?
Topaz, simple answer is No.Can these be used standalone?
If you can get past the bloke (mega irritating for me) the content is quite useful
Can you post the original image as well please.Been having a test with different Noiseware removal, all taken at iso 5000 and a slight sharpen in PS after Noise was done.

Another shout for Nik Dfine
I used to work two layers in ACR, one for the bg, one for the bird, that way I could reduce noise in the bg without loosing detail in the bird, then blend them in Elements 11
With Nik Dfine you can use the brush on j-pegs to selectively reduce noise just where its needed and it works well
The wrong answer is no...... the simple answer is yes.Topaz, simple answer is No.
I'll second this......I convert to TIFF in Lightroom and then use Topaz for any adjustments.Whether a single plugin is worth that money is purely subjective but I have the suite of Topaz PS plugins and they're part of the workflow on every image I edit. The In Focus and Effects plugins are extremely good.
I could be wrong but I thought that not all Topaz options could be used standalone, those that can being the exception ... very happy to be proved wrong though if you can explain. The wrong answer is no...... the simple answer is yes.

That's what I thought, I should have been clearer in my original comment. Some can be used 'standalone' and others can't

In truth the thread is about DeNoise ... at my age comments are not necessarily 'on track'!Ah sorry....I thought that the thread (and your comment) was specifically about DeNoise.
